Ian has a wealth of experience both in the UK and abroad. Having initially trained as a chartered accountant and working in investment banking, he moved to work within the travel and tourist industry.

He held the position of the first Director General of the House of Commons and now works as a non-executive director for a number of organisations, mainly in the third sector across health (including the NHS), education and housing.
